Israel and Palestine

where humanity comes to duel

Without a doubt, this is a conflict that has captured the imaginations of the international arena and turned two competing national movements, vying for the same land, into a colossal and global catastrophe beyond its actual size and scale.

Indeed, the embellished passion and often satirical politics surrounding Palestine would almost be comical if it weren’t also so horribly tragic and the epitome of the failures of humanity to come to practical solutions.

This lecture series seeks to delve deeply into everyone’s favorite issue and learn, not just facts, but how different feelings around this territory shape local, regional, and domestic politics, the world over.
If you want the nuts and bolts and nitty-gritty of this conflict, this is the symposium for you.

By navigating with calm and respectful mediation, hearing different narratives, and seeing different perspectives, this talk allows us to bring into focus the legitimate grievances of both communities, as well as the various claims and qualms across the divide.

Students will receive tools and instruments to be able to dissect conflicting narratives, as well as direct unhelpful and hurtful, if not dangerous conversations in a more proactive and positive direction. Indeed, in a world of screamers, it’s the dreamers who must direct the conversations.
